Open Roster / Closed Roster — Terms used to describe how a client’s testing program is structured in terms of participant eligibility. An Open Roster has no fixed, pre-approved list of eligible participants — anyone who meets the basic criteria can register and order a kit without needing to be pre-loaded into the system. A Closed Roster is the opposite — only a specific, pre-approved list of individuals are eligible to order or receive a kit or testing service. Participants must be on the list before they can access the program.
