2D Barcode — A two-dimensional barcode (such as a QR code or DataMatrix) that can store significantly more data than a traditional one-dimensional barcode. In a kit fulfillment context, a 2D barcode encodes the kit ID, lot, and other identifiers — and can be scanned by phone cameras as well as warehouse scanners.
